A single pronoun slip-up isn't going to ruin my whole day, but when it's put into the larger context where I am constantly being shoved into a box where I don't belong, it can drain all of my energy really quickly.

For the record, I identify as non-binary or genderqueer, and my pronouns are gender neutral (singular they in English, hen in Swedish and hán in Icelandic) :)

Hehe! I love the posture in the second panel. English really should develop an additional non-binary pronoun. I always feel like an idiot when I use 'they' as a non-binary pronoun, because it sounds like I'm mixing sentence agreement.

Thanks!
I will admit, it felt a bit strange using 'they' at first, but you do get used to it very quickly! But there are a whole bunch of alternatives as well, some old, some new :) Some examples are zie (hir/hirs), ey or e (em/eir/eirs) and xe (xem/xyr/xyrs) and you can find loads more by googling "gender neutral pronouns" - wikipedia even has a pretty full list! :)
